Manchester United have reportedly turned their attentions to the Bundesliga, targeting Borussia Dortmund star Jacob Bruun Larsen as they continue their plans of a summer overhaul.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side have wrapped up two transfers in Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka but they’re not quite done just yet.
The Welshman was expected to be United’s only winger signed for the summer though the Norwegian boss appears to be keen on another.
Larsen fits the mould of young, exciting players full of potential that Solskjaer is keen on but it remains to be seen whether a deal could be struck for him.
Dortmund are unlikely to want to sell one of their prospects and having denied Solskjaer’s approach for Jadon Sancho, they could potentially do the same again.
According to The Sun, the Red Devils will have to fight off Liverpool and Arsenal for Jacob’s signature and will have to bid big to get their man.
It’s the Reds Ole should be fearful of as they are the ones capable of offering Champions League football and perhaps similar wages.
The cash-strapped Gunners shouldn’t be too much concern given how they also only qualified for next season’s edition of the Europa League.
