Chelsea’s Brazilian winger Willian has been linked with a move back to his home country in recent weeks but that speculation has been put to an end by the player himself.
Journalist Sandro Barboza had stated that Willian was ready to return to the Brazilian league but it appears that the news was false.
Willian’s official Twitter account retweeted a tweet deny the news before it was quickly undone.
Following on from that, the winger went one step further to confirm that he is staying Chelsea by tweeting the journalist himself.
The tweet translated to: ‘Hi Sandro, how are you? Sorry, but I’m not negotiating with Palmeiras and my manager has not received any contact from the club. I have no plans to return to Brazil at this time. A hug!’
Oi Sandro, tudo bem? Desculpe, mas não estou negociando com o Palmeiras e meu empresário não recebeu nenhum contato do clube. Não tenho nenhum plano de voltar ao Brasil nesse momento. Um abraço!

Willian has found it difficult to break into the starting side in recent weeks as it seems that head coach Antonio Conte has found his best XI, but Willian did make an appearance from the substitutes bench in the win away to West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.
The winger is keen to get as much playing time as possible to ensure a starting spot in the Brazil team at the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
