Manchester United’s top right-back transfer target Aaron Wan-Bissaka has revealed his plans for the next season.
The youngster has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford, particularly since Antonio Valencia is expected to depart.
It’s believed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is interested in signing a new right-back and so the Englishman has been targeted.
Roy Hodgson had admitted every player has a price and so it was expected that United wouldn’t have too much trouble signing Wan-Bissaka.
However, it appears the transfer won’t be as straightforward as initially believed and Solskjaer may have to turn his attentions elsewhere.
According to the Evening Standard, Aaron said: “The situation just shows that my performances don’t go unnoticed.
“But I am with Crystal Palace at the moment. That is where my contract is and that is where I will be next season.
“I have got three years left on my contract. It says I am going to be there, so that is all I can focus on now.”
Optimistic Man United fans feel as though Wan-Bissaka is simply saying what’s expected of him to jack up the price of his transfer.
If Ole can secure Champions League football next season as well, it could be too tempting for the 21 year old to turn down and while it seems a long shot, United are still in with a shout but they certainly have to beat Huddersfield on Sunday, a game in which United will be heavy favourites. Aaron will know the United right-back position is there for the taking with just Diogo Dalot the realistic competitor.
Valencia should be on his way out while Matteo Darmian has been practically begging to leave for Italy.
Ashley Young‘s sudden decline means it’s likely he’ll be sold as well leaving just Dalot and Wan-Bissaka battling it out for a spot in the starting XI.
