Juventus have reportedly turned towards Adidas in their efforts to sign Manchester United star Paul Pogba despite news previously emerging that their interest ended.
It was believed the Serie A giants were no longer keen on the Frenchman as they edged closer to signing PSG’s Adrien Rabiot for free.
However, it could be that the Italian side are still hoping to sign the World Cup winner as they continue their summer squad overhaul.
Pogba would certainly improve their midfield and it’s believed he himself is more open to a return to his former side than a move to Real Madrid.
The academy product was always going to cost any interested party far too much and given United’s reluctance to sell it was believed it was too large a stumbling block, until now.
According to The Sun, Corriere dello Sport report that Juventus are hoping Adidas will fund part of the transfer themselves as the Red Devils seek £135m for Paul’s signature.
It’s not the first time such a suggestion has been made with some also believing Manchester United did the same to bring in the midfielder in the first place.
Given how it was previously reported that Adidas are worried United won’t be able to bring in the same commercial success as last season due to missing out on the Champions League, this isn’t such a far fetched idea.
