Thomas Kalas has completed a permanent move to Bristol City, according to the Bristol Post.
The transfer is expected to be completed at some point on Friday, with the centre-back’s spell at Chelsea coming to an end.
The 26-year-old has been at Stamford Bridge since 2010, when he joined from Czech side Sigma Olomouc.
Kalas has managed just four appearances in all that time for the Blues, however, as he struggled to ever nail down a place in the first team squad.
Following various loan spells, including one at Bristol City last season, he will finally depart permanently, heading to Ashton Gate.
The Championship club beat off interest from Celtic to secure Kalas’ signature, who will reportedly become their highest paid player in history.
The 19-time capped Czech Republic international is likely to be an excellent signing for Bristol City, as they hope to make another promotion push next season.
