Chelsea accidently leak signing via club app

Chelsea have leaked the permanent signing of midfielder Mateo Kovacic, before it has been officially announced.

The club have an official app called “The Fifth Stand” and a interview titled “My Footballing Firsts” was accidently published on Saturday, according to The Mirror.

It is claimed that the interview confirmed the permanent deal for Kovacic and included quotes from the Croatian speaking about how happy he is to have extended his stay at Stamford Bridge.

Kovacic joined Chelsea from Real Madrid last summer on a season-long loan, but now looks to have signed permanently – despite the club’s transfer embargo.

As Kovacic was already registered by Chelsea for last season, they are able to sign him permanently before July 1st, which they appear to have done.

Speaking in the leaked interview, Kovacic said this:

It was an amazing feeling to sign for Chelsea, first on loan and now permanently.

It is a fantastic club, with great team-mates and we play a good style of football.
