Napoli manager Maurizio Sarri is set to meet Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis this week following claims he is leaving for Chelsea.
Chelsea have had Sarri on their radar with reports speculating they will part company with Antonio Conte at the end of the season.
And according to the Evening Standard, tensions are growing between De Laurentiis and Sarri following claims from the owner that the manager should have rotated his team more during their title push.
Sarri could leave the Naples team if a club activates the £7 million release clause in his contract.
Napoli maintained their Serie A title challenge throughout the season but a disappointing end to season allowed Juventus to clinch their seventh consecutive title with a 0-0 draw at Roma on Sunday.
Sarri still has a year left on his current contract but with talks expected to happen this week, it is believed that Sarri would like a £3.5 million-a-year deal, trebling his current £1.3 million salary.
It is also believed that Sarri will want control over the transfers but owner De Laurentiis prefers up-and-coming talent.
The Evening Standard also say that Napoli are prepared to look elsewhere if talks with Sarri aren’t successful.
According to the report, Napoli have compiled a shortlist of new managers including Sampdoria’s Marco Giampaolo, outgoing Paris Saint-Germain coach Unai Emery, Paulo Fonseca of Shakhtar Donetsk and Marseille’s Rudi Garcia.
