Aston Villa will try and push through a move for young Manchester United defender Axel Tuanzebe this week.
The 20-year-old has been given very few first-team chances this season and Villa are hoping to complete a loan deal for Tuanzebe in the coming days.
Born in DR Congo, but raised in Britain, Tuanzebe is drawing huge interest from a range of clubs, according to the Telegraph, but Villa are clear frontrunners.

Man United manager Jose Mourinho recently said he’s found it hard to give chances to Tuanzebe because of the strength in the depth the club have in that position.
“Axel Tuanzebe plays in a position where I have so many players, so I’m not giving the chances to Axel,” the Portuguese said.
“So probably Axel is the only one that I open the door for him to go and play because I believe he is a really good talent and he needs to play.”
It looks as if Tuanzebe will leave the club before the end of January and finally get a chance of regular first-team football.
He’ll be playing with former-England captain John Terry if he does indeed move to Villa. Though hated by United fans, Terry could prove to be an excellent influence on Tuanzebe’s development over the next five months.
United teammate Luke Shaw recently hailed Tuanzebe.
“I think Axel is unbelievable,” he said. “The talent he’s got is frightening. He’s strong, he’s quick, he’s energetic, he reads the game well, can pass, he’s got everything.”
