Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s performance gained mixed reviews from Manchester United fans after the match vs Bristol City in the League Cup.
United travelled away from home for the fixture with Ibrahimovic getting his first start since returning from his horrific injury.
Most supporters expected the Swedish hero would be a little off his game but did not expect such a dire display, although he managed to score from a free-kick.
The striker’s uncharacteristic heavy first touch and tendency to slow United’s attacks upset fans more than anything else.
Zlatan’s lacklustre display mirrored the Red Devils’ as well with the whole team being rather underwhelming, particularly in the first half.

I hope those loyal Ibrahimović fans who continuously slate Lukaku are watching tonight.
He’ll probably go on and score but his work-rate and link-up play is ten times worse than Rom’s.

We should be leading here but we haven't been good. We've created chances but we need to take Ibrahimovic off. Been slowing down the attack and losing the ball too much. Put Rashford up top and sub Mkhi onto RM and we should find the goal.

Not a bad first 45. Just need to find that opening goal and I think we’ll get a couple. Pogba looking good so far. Ibrahimovic looks rusty to say the least.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has had to deal with being demoted this season, both officially in regards to his pay cut and in the sense that Romelu Lukaku is now Manchester United’s go to man.
Much of last season, the tall striker was United’s most crucial player and quickly became one of the squad’s leaders.
Despite being aware that he’s unlikely to get as much game time this season as he did last season, he extended his contract with the club in the hopes of adding some more silverware to his name.
Ibrahimovic will surely also be wary of the continuous rise in the careers of Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial.
Both youngsters have been mainly used as left wingers throughout their time under Jose Mourinho’s management but have seen some game time as strikers this season too.
The pair have been handed some appearances alongside Romelu Lukaku and one would expect Mourinho to slowly move them back into their natural positions which will certainly spell trouble for Zlatan.
