Manchester United fans were left impressed by young Englishman Luke Shaw‘s performance vs Bournemouth at Old Trafford.
The Cherries faced off vs a Red Devils side who were determined to put the loss against Manchester City in the derby quickly behind them.
Most United fans were surprised to see Shaw get the nod for a starting XI spot but welcomed the former Southampton man with open arms.
Supporters believe that he is the club’s best left-back if he can keep himself focussed and fit for an extended period of time.
Jose Mourinho has also talked about giving him more opportunities if he continues to perform and fans were delighted that the manager stuck to his word.
This is easily the best Luke Shaw has looked since his broken leg. Looks confident, fit, and he's added important width which Anthony Martial has benefited from already tonight. Great to see.

Shaw looks completely different in these run of games. Running at opposition with purpose & not afraid to put in a crunching tackle. Would start him throughout the busy fixtures.

Luke also seemed keen to repay his manager’s faith and although it may take some time for him to return to full fitness, his display was encouraging.
Probably one of the better performers of the first half, Shaw marauded up and down the left flank, constantly providing himself as an option to his teammates.
Although his presence was a positive, more importantly he was as willing as ever to put his body in the line, winning 50/50s quite convincingly.
The Englishman had an understandable tendency to pull out of such challenges due to his recent horrible injury but it seems as though he’s gotten over it psychologically.
Mourinho will surely be impressed with his player’s commitment, determination and most importantly his ability.
If Shaw continues his recent fine form, Ashley Young will surely be looking over his shoulder, worried of the young Englishman overtaking him.
