Italian transfer guru Fabrizio Romano published a Tweet on Tuesday claiming that Arsenal are now making it a ‘priority’ to close a deal on England defender Ben White, with personal terms reportedly ‘agreed’.

Arsenal have just shipped out William Saliba on loan for another season, this time to Marseille, so a new central defender is a priority for Mikel Arteta.
White is likely to cost £50million up-font, a big outlay for the Gunners, but the 23-year-old has the best years ahead of him and will be desperate to force his way into the England starting XI for the 2022 World Cup.
