The statistics, tweeted during the second half against Everton, shows that the Red Devils have failed to win any of the Premier League matches this season where they have had 55% possession or more.
By the end of the match, United had enjoyed 66.5% possession against the Toffees but again failed to win the game. This updates the published statistic to Played 8, Won 0, Drawn 6, Lost 2 with 55% possession or more.
Fans were frustrated that Victor Lindelof lost possession so many times during the game but perhaps he had read the statistic and was trying to get the percentage down to under 55%. He certainly did his best.
