"The answer is yes": Ten Hag associate confirms plot to scupper United plans

Bayern Munich will look to sign Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag if the Dutchman enjoys success in England with the Red Devils.

This is according to Sjors Ultee who once worked with Ten Hag earlier in his career.

Ultee told Voetbal Niuews podcast The King of Manchester via SportWitness that it is not unimaginable that the German giants make a swoop for Ten Hag and tempt him back to Bavaria.

Ultee said, “At the moment, there are steps upwards to think about for Ten Hag. Not when you talk about size of the club, but when you talk about becoming champions.”

“If he stays there for a long time, it’s certainly not inconceivable (United win the title). He can do a very good job, but if you do that there are also a lot of clubs that will think of him.”

“At Bayern Munich, for example, he has already worked. He fits the German league very well. I can quite imagine they will ask him after a few good years at United. If Ten Hag stays at United for a long time, then the answer is yes.”

Ten Hag was once in charge of Bayern Munich II. He enjoyed a two-year spell there where he worked under the stewardship of Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola.

It is said that he is highly thought-of in Munich, with admirers who view him as a legitimate target to one day take the reins at The Allianz Arena.

In fact, it is claimed that the United boss views Bayern Munich as a dream appointment.

Ten Hag’s stocks are certainly on the rise. His arrival at the Theatre of Dreams undoubtedly propelled him to new heights, instantly making him one of the most covered personalities within the media.

He has done well so far at the helm of the 20-time English champions. Yesterday night he produced a masterclass that helped his team trounce Tottenham in a much-deserved 2-0 win.

Fans adore him and will not take kindly to the news of a rival club plotting a secret swoop for their beloved manager.
