Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has surprisingly responded to reports claiming he was in Salzburg on Friday to meet with Erling Haaland.
The legendary Norwegian is said to have had his eye on the sensational youngster for some time now with recent reports emerging he even flew in last Friday to try to seal the move.
Haaland is believed to have been busy of late, whether himself or his entourage have been meeting with clubs, checking out training facilities and having meetings with some important people.
Borussia Dortmund and Juventus are said to be interested in his signature as well with RB Leipzig having a partnership with RB Salzburg meaning they could be in the mix too.
However, Solskjaer’s personal touch could help United win this race, especially since he coached Haaland back during their days in Molde.
Solskjær asked if he was in Salzburg on Friday: "There's been plenty of speculation, and you know I wont talk about that, but he's [Erling Braut Håland] had a great career in Salzburg, so he knows what he wants to do." #mulive [tv2]

Manchester United fans responding to the comments seem to be convinced it means Haaland is a done deal but they shouldn’t be that confident.
The board have previously been a little incompetent getting deals done in the past and they’ve seemingly been hesitant to invest this January.
Haaland would be an excellent addition to this United squad based on his goalscoring ability but it could be argued other areas on the pitch were in more urgent need of attention.
