Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could be removed from his position as Manchester United manager if the club suffers a heavy defeat to Liverpool
Man United’s 1-0 defeat at the hands of Newcastle United over the weekend left the club hovering two points above the relegation zone after nine Premier League fixtures.
The club’s next opponents are Liverpool, who have won a remarkable 17 league games in a row and are eight points clear at the top.
And according to the BBC, a heavy defeat to Liverpool would create so much external pressure – from us, basically – to the extent that the club would be unable to avoid sacking Solskjaer.

This is the kind of story you’d expect to read in the Mirror, or the Sun, but this is from the god damn BBC.
In other words, on the day after United lost to Newcastle, an insider has briefed the club to say that Solskjaer is done if he loses badly to Liverpool – a move which, intentionally or not, piles more pressure on a man already firmly under the pump.
To release this kind of stuff after Newcastle confirms what we already know: that this club is a soap opera first with no regard for a proper long-term project.
