Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has compared building a team to that of building a house, suggesting his side aren’t quite his just yet.
The Portuguese manager is in his third season at the club but still appears to be unhappy with his current squad.
Mourinho has brought in Paul Pogba, Romelu Lukaku, Fred, Nemanja Matic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Eric Bailly, Victor Lindelof, Alexis Sanchez, Diogo Dalot and Lee Grant so far.
Having spent over £300m, some fans are a little concerned that he still hasn’t gotten the squad he wants or that they’re even playing in the way he wants.
Supporters are starting to get fed up with what seems to be excuses from Jose but the signs suggest he’s hoping to see plenty of new faces in January.
Mourinho: “A football team is not just about spending the money. A football team is a little bit like a house. A house is not just about buying your furniture. You have to do work in the house and when the house is ready then you buy your furniture.“ #mufc

It appears as though Mourinho is stating his players aren’t playing the way he wants which would make sense given how there’s no sense of identity or clear style of play about Manchester United.
If one were to look at the former Real Madrid manager’s career, there’s a certain pattern that can seen throughout all his clubs that hasn’t been seen at Old Trafford as of yet.
Nonetheless, results are all that matter and if Jose isn’t able to lead his side to a better position in the league then he won’t have a job to make excuses for.
