Manchester United are reportedly not looking to sack Ole Gunnar Solskjaer despite the latest poor result in a disappointing season.
The legendary Norwegian oversaw a shock loss to Newcastle over the weekend with ‘OleOut’ trending on Twitter after the match.
The number of fans who are willing to remain patient is quickly dwindling with United in 12th place at the moment.
To make matters worse, a loss against Liverpool, who they face next, could see the club sink into the relegation zone.
It will be unimaginable how the fans will react then but for now, the club insist their managers is not under threat.
According to the Daily Mail, the Glazer family, executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward and the Red Devils’ board are all fully supportive of Solskjaer as they are committed to the long-term plan under him.
It’s important for the club to publicly back him but it has to be taken with a pinch of salt given their past actions.
Louis van Gaal and Jose Mourinho were both supported even close to the end of their eras but were still both sacked.
If anything, it’s more of an indication that Solskjaer could lose his job rather than the other way round given how the incompetent Manchester United board have acted so far.
