Manchester United’s disheartening form continued after taking on Arsenal as they were held 1-1 at Old Trafford.
Andreas Pereira and Jesse Lingard both started the fixture but it’s safe to say they had little impact on the fixture.
Such was their performances that United’s goal only came through a fantastic effort from Scott McTominay from long-range.
Lingard started in his preferred attacking-midfield role while, to be fair to Pereira, he was shoved out wide to the right flank.
The Red Devils lack of attacking quality has continuously shown this season with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer certainly regretting not adding more to his squad.
Despite remaining on the pitch for 74 minutes EACH, Pereira and Lingard COMBINED for:
59 touches
32 passes completed
6 fouls
3 chances created
1 dribble completed
1 duel won (from 10)
1 shot on target (from 4)
0 crosses completed
0 tacklesThey CANNOT start again.

The small amount of passes, duels won and chances created are arguably the most shocking from the pair and it begs the question why were they so poor?
Lingard’s case is a little tough because he’s been out of form for quite some time and it’s worrying what’s happened.
From a little later after his incredible performance at the Emirates, the pacy Englishman has looked a shadow of himself for a long period of time.
Pereira’s problem though could be to play him as an attacking midfielder in the hopes it will get more out of him.
In fact, switching their performances could be the key to seeing them both improve as Lingard could find himself again in a position he’s played in, in the past.
