Surprising: How this Man United legend was spot on with Solskjaer prediction

Manchester United legend Roy Keane is known for explosive punditry but it’s safe to say he may be having the last laugh with this particular incident.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s stock has risen tremendously after successfully leading his men to first place for the first time in years.

Fans aren’t getting carried away with it but they understand just what it means to finally be involved in a title race once more.

United still have a long way to go but by reaching the first place, Solskjaer symbolically proved he has what it takes to lead this team moving forward.

Even if the team collapse later on, they will know it’s an achievable aim and Keane will feel justified in calling for the legendary Norwegian to be given time, almost a year ago.

At least Keane is remaining consistent with his opinion, not only still insisting Solskjaer should be given time at the lows of this season but also by claiming previous managers needed it to.

Whether he’s right or wrong is one for the debaters but he can at least say he stuck to his guns at an age when pundits and even fans change their opinions almost on a daily basis.
