Concerns have started to rise from Manchester United fans following Romelu Lukaku’s performance vs Valencia.
The Belgian was tasked with leading the line for his side against the La Liga club but failed to do so effectively.
Many criticised him for his lack of movement but it was his all round play that also saw him get plenty of stick.
Lukaku had a terrific World Cup with Belgium over the summer and seemed to be in the mood at the start of the season.
Unfortunately things have gone downhill for him since with some supporters even calling for him to be dropped.
Lukaku needs to be hooked and dropped. And Sanchez. Get martial in the side. Lingard back in. Pereira and Dalot for Matic and Valencia respectively. At least the younger players will have youthful enthusiasm. Look at Shaw and Rashford. At least there’s no shortage of effort.

Don’t care what you think about Pogba, or whether you side with him or not, at least he doesn’t hide. He’s taking most of the criticism from this side when a lot of United players are getting away with it. Lukaku not good enough again tonight but nothing get’s said.

What’s happened to Lukaku? Looked to have improved his all round game last season and had a very good World Cup. Has returned looking like an absolute Donkey. Static, poor finishing, can’t hold it up, easily pushed off the ball…£75m?! Can’t understand it. #FullTimeDoc

Why hasn’t Romelu Lukaku been dropped yet? He’s been absolutely awful recently! #MUFC

The Red Devils were said to have chased a striker all summer long after Mourinho considered it one of the areas that needed investment.
The team definitely look considerably worse when Romelu isn’t playing but based on current form it would be best if he was dropped.
A back-up striker wouldn’t only offer a good alternative but he would also keep the former Everton man on his toes.
Marcus Rashford, Alexis Sanchez and Anthony Martial can all play in the forward position as well but none can do so in the style that Jose wants.
