Real Madrid are reportedly considering using Manchester United’s interest in Toni Kroos to their advantage as they attempt to finally get their man in Paul Pogba.
The sensational Frenchman was arguably the Spanish giants’ highest priority but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side remained stubborn and refused to sell.
So far that strategy has worked but there is a feeling that it obviously can’t go on forever and so they will have to give in at one point.
This all of course depends on whether Pogba can instead be convinced to remain at Old Trafford but if that doesn’t happen, Solskjaer will definitely want to maximise getting the best possible deal for him.
Apparently that has come in the form of the German World Cup winner but there are questions over how true this report is.
According to FourFourTwo, Bild report that the Red Devils bid £67m for Kroos earlier this year and so Madrid would be willing to include him in a deal if it means securing Pogba’s services with a possible transfer happening in January.
One reason to question this report is that the talented Los Blancos star doesn’t seem to fit Solskjaer’s transfer policy.
Not only that but it could be argued Kroos doesn’t suit his tactics either as his lack of pace or mobility could expose Manchester United on the counter often.
