Manchester United have reportedly been given the green light in their chase for Ryan Sessegnon in the latest major development for his signature.
The youngster was previously thought of as not being on the move despite Fulham’s relegation but it now appears otherwise.
The Englishman is understandably one of the most sought after young players due to his ability to play in the left-back or left-wing positions.
United were said to be keen on improving their full-back options and Sessegnon fits the mould of players Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants to bring in.
The Norwegian has previously stated a desire to sign young, talented players who are full of potential in a bid to improve his club’s transfer policy.
According to the Express, Sky Sports reports that the Red Devils’ chances of signing Ryan have improved as it appears nailed on for him to leave Fulham this summer though he prefers a move to Tottenham.
Mauricio Pochettino can offer Champions League football, a chance at silverware and potentially a real opportunity of first-team minutes.
Solskjaer’s preference for Luke Shaw will likely see Sessegnon play as back-up until perhaps he surpasses the former Southampton man.
United have also only qualified for the Europa League while their ability to win trophies is questionable at the moment.
