Manchester United fans were thoroughly displeased with their team’s inconsistent form after losing 2-1 to Crystal Palace at Old Trafford.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men had beaten Chelsea convincingly 4-0 in their first fixture of the season to give supporters hope of a positive campaign.
Unfortunately United went on to draw against Wolves, leaving fans with a bitter taste in their mouths before Palace shocked everyone by winning all three points.
Solskjaer clearly has a lot of work to do with a young, inexperienced squad lacking in depth as things can quickly get away from them if they don’t recover fast.
The Red Devils’ loss can’t be pinpointed to one player with several of their stars underperforming on a day they couldn’t afford to.
What a frustrating game of football that was, horrible to watch.

Shocking result, free-kicks, penalty and refereeing for MUFC. Poor defending for both Palace goals as they win at O.T for first time since '89. That season started with a 4 goal home win in first game for MU, a 1-1 away draw in the second and a defeat in the third. Grim.

Can we end the season now?

That kind of performance shouldn’t surprise anyone. The fans screamed out for a creative midfielder and people called us negative. It’s a clear issue & we will struggle to break down teams who sit deep like that. Lingard simply cannot play that role & was awful today.

Absolutely shocked that a side that already lacked goals & had no control in midfield would be worse after selling their 2nd top goalscorer & losing a midfielder without any replacements.

Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof were guilty of Palace’s opener while Marcus Rashford, Paul Pogba and David de Gea were guilty of their winner.
The normally composed Swede lost his aerial duel that saw Palace slide through so easily but he was arguably let down by the former Leicester star who didn’t cover for him and played Ayew onside.
Pogba lost possession while Rashford lost his opposite full-back and De Gea allowed himself beaten on the near post in embarrassing style.
