Real Madrid are reportedly not ready to give up on securing Manchester United star Paul Pogba’s signature and have hatched a plan to work around the incredibly asking price.
The Frenchman has been the Spaniard club’s main target all summer but it was believed a deal was off the table due to the funds necessary to sign him.
United bought the midfielder for a then world record fee and will likely want to recoup it all, if not more, if he decides to leave.
Pogba has previously stated that playing for Madrid, especially under Zinedine Zidane, would be a dream, upsetting fans in the process.
The Red Devils have remained strong on their stance so far but they may be tempted by what the La Liga giant has to offer.
According to the Mirror, the Sunday Times report that Real will offer Keylor Navas, Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez in a bid to reduce the £160m asking price for Paul.
With David de Gea potentially on his way out as well the Costa Rican represents a good alternative while the Colombian would fulfil Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s reported desire to sign an attacking-midfielder.
A right-winger is also said to be wanted so Bale would slot in but it goes against the Norwegian’s wish to sign young, talented, British players.
