Gary Neville sends huge warning to Solskjaer on Manchester United job

Manchester United legend Gary Neville has warned Ole Gunnar Solskjaer that his squad is currently creaking ahead of their FA Cup clash against Wolves.

The Norwegian has been without numerous first-team players of late due to the club experience an injury crisis.

Solskjaer though will be happy to see a few of them starting to return such as Nemanja Matic and Anthony Martial.

However, Neville feels with huge games coming up around the corner, the squad is creaking a bit and that could spell trouble.

Ole will be mindful of enduring a second difficult spell without many of his first-team choices again.

According to the Daily Star, Gary said to Sky Sports: “If you start to look at the period from April 9-28 it’s a real testing period.

“With the squad that is creaking a little bit. There is a long way to go for this to be a successful season for United.

“They have to be careful not to end up falling in between everything and doing well but not really concentrating on one competition more than the other.

“That’s something which Ole has to concentrate on in this next five or six weeks.”

It’s no surprise to see Solskjaer’s appointment coincide with an injury spell for Manchester United.

The former Molde man employs a high-tempo, direct, attacking style of football that ensures its conductors work tirelessly.

To make matters worse the United squad doesn’t seem prepared to play such a style and have begun to suffer injuries as a consequence.

Perhaps waiting for pre-season would’ve been an ideal time to change the squad’s style of play but Ole still isn’t guaranteed he will remain beyond the summer.

There’s also the issue that the previous style wasn’t working for the Red Devils and so a change was necessary.
