Manchester United star Marcus Rashford is reportedly in talks with the club over a new contract following his fantastic form.
The Englishman has been Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s go-to striker since his arrival back in December.
While Romelu Lukaku’s form has seen him start more often, Rashford has still been involved whether as a second striker or on the flanks.
The youngster is clearly someone Solskjaer wants to build the team around should he be given the job permanently.
Many feel the academy product is deserving of a new deal given his performances of late and that his future should be tied down to the club.
According to Express Sport, Marcus’ current deal is £75k per week and ends next year but he will receive a pay rise to £150k per week which can rise further to £200k with bonuses and add-ons.
The striker’s current wages aren’t fitting to a player of his calibre, particularly given his limitless potential.
Rashford could be United’s frontman for the next decade if his development continues on its current trajectory.
Should that be the case then the club would be wise to tie him down for as long as possible for whatever wages he wants as it would still be cheaper than bringing someone in as replacement.
