Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has praised his stars for not giving up in the clash against Burnley at Old Trafford.
In a match that was expected to be a walkthrough for the home side, the Norwegian found his team conceding twice with less than 15 minutes left in the game.
Substitutions were made to save United from any embarrassment and it was Jesse Lingard who won a penalty coming off the bench.
Paul Pogba converted to hand his side a lifeline before Victor Lindelof scored his first goal for the club at the perfect time.
The Red Devils couldn’t follow the equaliser with another goal to seal a win late but considering the context of the game, did well to come away with a point in the end.
Ole: “That’s Man United, we know we could have performed better in the first 60-70 minutes. The reaction was brilliant, that’s testament to the character of everyone. Never give up at this club.” #mufc [MUTV]

Ole: “We could have got the third as well. You never give up, that’s the DNA here. Disappointed we didn’t get three points but fantastically happy with the reaction after going 2-0 down.” #mufc [MUTV]

The comeback left the majority of fans satisfied though there was a bittersweet feeling in the end.
The Red Devils needed all three points to keep up the pressure on top four rivals Chelsea and Arsenal but fell short against unlikely opponents.
Hopefully it serves as a lesson for the players to always give their best from the start of matches and Solskjaer can keep up his remarkable unbeaten run.
