Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has refused to attack Andreas Pereira for his mistake during the match vs Burnley and instead offered support.
The youngster lost possession deep in his side’s own half to allow the away team to open the scoring.
United managed to concede a second before staging a comeback to end the match in a 2-2 draw but the damage Pereira did left many wondering whether three points would’ve been possible.
The Brazilian hasn’t featured a lot this season and was handed a start for the first time in months in what was expected to be an easy win over Burnley.
Andreas’ slip was a little mix of poor luck and rustiness but thankfully he was somewhat bailed out by his teammates.
Ole: “Andreas will be better off for having this experience, no problem about that.” #mufc [MUTV]

Pereira was seen visibly upset about his error when he was eventually subbed off by Solskjaer as United tried to rescue the match and the staff tried to console him.
Some fans felt former boss Jose Mourinho would’ve thrown the academy player under the bus but the Norwegian manager refused to do the same.
Andreas’ talent is far better than what he showed against Burnley. After all, he was United’s best player in their pre-season tour so a few games under his belt should see him hit that kind of form again.
