Manchester United star Paul Pogba has admitted Marcus Rashford‘s goal vs Tottenham came right out of the training ground.
The Englishman’s sharp finish helped his side pick up all three crucial points in the 1-0 victory at Wembley.
Jesse Lingard had intercepted a pass at the half way line and laid it off for Pogba who passed beautiful for Rashford who made no mistake to find the net.
Tottenham had had earlier warnings of United’s deadly counter-attacks but failed to react effectively and just when it seemed as though the half would end at 0-0, the academy player slotted home.
Pogba was instrumental in the win and only had his thunder stolen by a fantastic display from David de Gea to keep the clean-sheet.
Pogba, “It’s a great ball, but we’ve been training on this. We scored a goal and here we were prepared. We knew it would be very difficult.”

Paul himself could’ve been on the score-sheet after a couple of impressive shots and pieces of attacking play.
Unfortunately it wasn’t meant to be but his defensive contribution towards the end of the match was equally important.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has let the shackles off for the Frenchman and has been rewarded fantastically for doing so.
Pogba was often criticised for not having enough of an effect during big matches but there should be no doubt of that after the win at Wembley.
