Manchester United legend Gary Neville has revealed he believes the mess at his former club all began when they sacked David Moyes.
The Scotsman took over after Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement and led the club to a miserable 7th placed finish.
Moyes obviously lost his job and made way for Louis van Gaal who initially steadied the ship before also getting sacked the following season.
Neville believes the mess United are currently in is due to parting ways with the former Everton man as it sent a message of sorts.
With Jose Mourinho now in charge, he faces tremendous pressure on his shoulders in his third season and looks set to depart as well.
This mess started when United sacked David Moyes after 8 months and we lost all sense of the values that the club had been built on for 100 years . It’s not the manager it’s the lack of football leadership above him. They are bouncing all over the place with no plan!

Many fans have opted to blamed the United owners and board as well but the truth is the blame is with all involved with the club.
The board, Mourinho and players each have their own fair share of blame for the ongoing crisis at the club.
Supporters have felt as though the players’ attitudes have been poor while the Portuguese boss has also failed to get the best out of them.
The Red Devils’ board meanwhile have not sufficiently backed a manager they just handed a contract extension to fairly recently.
