Manchester United’s latest signing Lee Grant has admitted he always dreamed of joining the club after completing his transfer from Stoke City.
The goalkeeper becomes the club’s third signing of the summer following the arrivals of Diogo Dalot and Fred as Jose Mourinho steps up his efforts to improve his squad.
Grant is unlikely to go straight into the starting XI given how United already have the world class talent of David de Gea as the first choice.
After the Spaniard there’s Argentina’s Sergio Romero who is a full blooded international and is expected to remain as the club’s second choice.
The former Stoke City man rather provides cover for the pair as it’s been said that Joel Pereira will move out on loan in order to help his development.
Lee Grant: “Moving to Manchester United has been a dream of mine for as long as I can remember. This was an opportunity that I couldn’t let pass and I’m thrilled to become a part of such a historic club.” #mufc [MU]

However, there have also been rumours that it could be Romero who leaves Old Trafford as he’s afraid of losing his spot in the Argentina squad due to his lack of match time.
The Red Devils will certainly be losing a top keeper if he does decide to leave but it’s a decision fans will respect and will wish him well.
Nonetheless, Lee will provide necessary cover should an injury crisis happen or the back-up goalkeepers do actually move on.
