Chelsea have reportedly re-signed Eduardo on a one-year deal and the Portuguese shot-stopper will immediately head to Vitesse.
According to Diario de Noticias, the player has put pen to paper on a new deal after previously being released by the club.
It had been confirmed on the Premier League’s official website that Eduardo was one of the many players to be released by the club at the end of the season, but it appears Chelsea still see a role for him.
It is yet to be seen whether or not Eduardo will join the Dutch side with a view to playing or having a coaching role behind the scenes, but he looks set to become the next player to make the move.
The report claims that he turned down offers from USA, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, France and back home in Portugal in order to re-sign for Chelsea.
He’ll follow Jake Clarke-Salter who joined Chelsea’s sister club on loan earlier this week.
Since joining Chelsea back in 2016, Eduardo has never made a single appearance and has operated as the club’s third-choice goalkeeper.
