Doubts have been cast over Daniele Rugani’s potential move to Chelsea following a sensational turn of events in Italy involving Juventus and Milan.
La Gazzetta dello Sport, as cited on Calciomercato, reports that Juventus are now considering a deal to re-sign Leonardo Bonucci from Milan, just a year after he left the club.
Milan are pushing to get Mattia Caldara as part of the deal to take Bonucci back to Turin, but Juventus would prefer to send Gonzalo Higuain in the opposite direction.

Caldara is a promising young central defender, who impressed while on loan at Atalanta.
He was being tipped to be a long-term feature in the Juventus defence but he is already attracting interest from Milan and Borussia Dortmund, with the latter willing to pay €35 million for his services.
Selling Caldara could potentially open up a spot for Rugani to stay at Juventus, despite the fact the defender has already agreed personal terms to join Chelsea this summer.
