Manchester United representatives will travel to Turin next week to hold talks with Juventus over a number of players, according to reports from Italy.
The two clubs have been in talks for some time over a deal for Matteo Darmian, who only made three Premier League starts for Man United in 2018 and wants a return to Italy.
Jose Mourinho, in turn, has expressed interest in signing striker Mario Mandzukic as he seeks a replacement for the aerial and physical prowess of Marouane Fellaini, set to leave the club once his contract expires at the end of the month.
Reports have suggested an interest in left-back Alex Sandro, although this particular rumour has gone cold in recent weeks, with Mourinho – to the dread of supporters – reportedly happy with Ashley Young as his first choice left-back.
And there is also the delicate matter of Anthony Martial. His agent confirmed earlier this week that his client, following five months of inexplicable exclusion under Mourinho, wants to leave Old Trafford this summer, prompting widespread fury and sadness among supporters. Juventus have made their interest in the youngster known for some time and will, no doubt, enquire about his availability, although United have no interest in letting him leave the club.
