France manager Didier Deschamps has told Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho just how he can get the best out of Paul Pogba, claiming it’s a tactical issue.
The Portuguese manager has often been blamed for failing to get the most out of the man who he signed for a then world record fee and was attempting to build a team around.
Pogba himself has also been heavily criticised for his inconsistencies with some believing he doesn’t have the mentality or is distracted from the things surrounding football.
The Frenchman still has plenty to prove for United despite being at the club for two seasons since joining from Juventus but there have been suggestions the issues are tactical as Deschamps believe.
Paul had just completed a goal scoring performance against Australia where he also picked up the man of the match award but was still criticised by some for not doing better.
Deschamps: “Pogba has very good potential, lots of ability and he played well. He found his register, had a lot of freedom and also had a defensive role to play. With three he is better off than with two, he feels more at ease." #mufc [Goal] pic.twitter.com/kwxNvijExi

The star midfielder is expected to do a lot of things that aren’t asked of a normal midfielder, such as playmaking, defending and being a presence in the opposition box.
Nonetheless, the player himself would admit that there’s more to come from him and with the signing of Fred from Shakhtar Donetsk, hopefully that’s a solution to all the ongoing problems.
