Stoke City central defender Kevin Wimmer is being tracked by Bundesliga club Hannover 96, but Stoke are reluctant to say goodbye after paying a substantial fee to Tottenham Hotspur originally, according to Sport Witness.
The Potters bought Wimmer for €20m back at the start of last summer, but a number of poor performances and City’s relegation has led to talk that he will be leaving the club this transfer window.

There are still four years left to run on his current deal and Stoke are determined to give the player another chance and don’t want to cut any losses on the Austrian just yet.
The 25-year-old featured 19 times for Stoke across all competitions in what was a tough spell for him following his move from London.
He failed to nail down a regular starting spot and will hope to find regular minutes wherever he may be next season.
