Chelsea’s window was a strange one. There was a lot of ups and a lot of downs but I think on a whole, we’ve come out of it very well.
Ross Barkley at £15m is a win-win for the club, for that price it doesn’t matter if he were to flop, because of the reduced price. While we also addressed key areas with Olivier Giroud signing from Arsenal and Emerson joining from Roma.
Giroud joins the club after a lengthy search for a target man. Andy Carroll and Ashley Barnes were also considered, but Giroud signing is surely the best case scenario out of all them.
Conte has more options in his squad now for the final half of the season, but I’m not sure that is going to be enough to keep him at the club this summer, with rumours that the Italian will be leaving the team at the end of the season.
