Anthony Martial produced another scintillating display out wide during Manchester United’s 3-0 win over Stoke City.
The Frenchman claimed his tenth goal of the season in the first half with a pinpoint curling effort into the top corner to give Man United a 2-0 lead.
He continued to harass Stoke’s back four in the second half and supplied Romelu Lukaku with an assist after 72 minutes.
Martial’s numbers from the game tell the story of what was yet another effervescent display on the flank.

What impressed most about Martial’s performance was not the way he put a curling effort into the top corner against Stoke for the third successive game at Old Trafford (although that is pretty damn impressive), but rather the way he endlessly bombarded their right hand side, over and over again.
Sometimes Martial can drift out of games and have quiet periods, rarely touching the ball, but with Juan Mata and Paul Pogba taking up good positions going forward the ball seemed to continually find him, and the result would usually be Stoke defenders – mainly right back Moritz Bauer, who will want to quickly forget his Premier League debut – on the back foot, their confidence diminishing with every wave that came at them.
To think that Arsenal, all the way down in sixth, believed they could sign him is nothing short of laughable.
