Manchester United fans were in full praise for their captain of the day Antonio Valencia, who also managed to get on the scoresheet vs Arsenal.
The Red Devils managed to shake off an early second half scare to end the match 3-1 thanks to a brace from Jesse Lingard after Valencia’s opener.
The Ecuadorian was playing in the wing back spot in a back five defence made of himself, Victor Lindelof, Marcos Rojo, Chris Smalling and Ashley Young.
With the Gunners also playing a back five formation of their own, Antonio found himself pressing high up the pitch in the early stages of the game and was superbly put through by Paul Pogba.
The veteran nutmegged an Arsenal defender and goalkeeper before his well placed shot finally hit the back of the net, leaving fans jumping for joy.

Antonio Valencia is lowkey the best full-back in the Premier League, a player of his similarity would be the dream down the right for us.

Benefit of playing with wing-backs. Valencia nicking the ball high up rather than retreating to right-back. Good finish, too.

Antonio Valencia has reignited his career at Jose Mourinho’s management, quickly becoming one of the best right-backs in the English Premier League.
Previously a winger, his work rate and ability to adapt has helped him fully master his role while his experience in attacking has aided him in his goalscoring instinct.
Typically an assist master, Valencia instead found himself in an ideal position to shoot and was not shy of taking his chance, perhaps still confident from his wonder-strike earlier in the season.
With only Matteo Darmian as his direct competitor, it’s fair to say that fans may excuse Antonio if he became complacent in his position but instead the one footed full-back has behaved completely professionally, putting in consistent performances.
