Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has kept quiet on the speculation surrounding David Luiz’s future, insisting that he likes to “tell the truth”.
As quoted by the Evening Standard, the Italian coach was quick to reiterate his stance on the talk that is clouding Luiz and his future, remaining tight-lipped over what the future would hold for the Brazilian.
I don’t read, and that solves the problem. I don’t read and I don’t have some information about this topic. I’m a very realistic person and I like to tell the truth.
I said three days ago during the press conference about him. I don’t want to annoy you with the same reply.
In recent times, Luiz has been linked with a plethora of clubs across Europe. He has been touted with moves to Real Madrid and Juventus, but also with a potential stay in the Premier League. Arsenal and Newcastle have been linked with shock swoops for the former PSG man.
Luiz is currently nursing a knee injury but has been out of Conte’s plans since the end of October, when the pair allegedly had a bust-up following the Blues’ annihilation at Roma in the Champions League.
I don’t read, I don’t listen to this. I don’t hear anything about this. I don’t read about my speculation and about the others. He’s out [against Bournemouth]. He’s not available. David Luiz is a very old injury… maybe three weeks
Andreas Christensen has been covering Luiz well, but speculation continues to mount regarding the Brazil international’s future.
