Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga has earned rave reviews this season for his fine form in La Liga which has seen him earn a spot in the Spain squad this season, but the 23-year-old has been heavily linked with an exit.
The £20m-rated goalkeeper becomes a free agent when his contract expires at the end of the season and Bilbao’s La Liga rivals Real Madrid along with Arsenal are both said to be weighing up moves for him.
Alvaro Morata has seen Arrizabalaga close up and, according to Don Balon, he has touted the goalkeeper’s services to Chelsea and advised them to bring him to the club in the near future.
Given the uncertainty surrounding Thibaut Courtois’ future at the club, Chelsea should look to add a goalkeeper in January or next summer and Arrizabalaga seems like one of the best options soon to be on the market.
