Manchester United great Rio Ferdinand has opened up on the time some of the club’s fans came to his house to demand he extends his contract.
The former centre-back was once one of the world’s best in his respective position and so naturally supporters were keen to hold onto him.
Ferdinand is often regarded to be a part of one of the Premier League’s best centre-back partnerships as he enjoyed plenty of fruitful years alongside Nemanja Vidic.
The superb pair wonderfully complemented each other and are perhaps the last strong partnership the club has had since.
Ferdinand was known as the silky, pacy ball playing defending whereas Vidic was the aggressive stopper and it certainly worked for the Red Devils.
MADNESS!
When #mufc fans turned up at my house telling me to sign a new contract!

It’s safe to say those fans were a little too enthusiastic and went overboard in their bid to convince Ferdinand.
The former English defender recently, perhaps ironically, interviewed Paul Pogba and even asked him whether he wishes to stay or not.
The French World Cup winner didn’t get drawn into the question despite Ferdinand’s attempt to get an answer.
However, it’s safe to say supporters won’t be turning up to Pogba’s house to demand the same thing they did from the club legend.
