Some may have accused Manchester United of being lucky in their big win over Leeds United but the statistics suggest otherwise.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men ran riot at Old Trafford, taking apart Marcelo Bielsa’s side in a thrilling 6-2 victory.
The Leeds boss is often heralded as amongst the best managers in the world and is praised endlessly for the style of football he gets his side playing.
On the other hand, Solskjaer has been heavily criticised this season at United, even appearing at times as though he was one bad result away from the sack.
On Sunday the two coaches went head to head and the legendary Norwegian came out on top emphatically.

The statistic above shows the Red Devils weren’t just lucky in their win and instead fully deserved the result based on their performance.
If anything, Solskjaer’s men could be accused of being a little wasteful as the scoreline could have easily gone into double figures.
Nonetheless, Bielsa’s decision to stick to his style of football no matter the cost proved to be his own undoing as Manchester United knew exactly what to expect.
Scott McTominay, Bruno Fernandes, Victor Lindelof and Daniel James were all on the scoresheet as United jumped up to third place in the league.
Edinson Cavani has made quite an impact since his deadline day arrival at Old Trafford, but how much do you know about our other South American players, past and present? Take our quiz below to find out!
