Manchester United have seemingly made the right call by avoiding signing Jadon Sancho last summer after Borussia Dortmund reportedly put the deal in jeopardy.
The talented Englishman seemed set for a major transfer but in the end he remained in Germany and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was forced to consider other options.
In terms of right-wingers, United signed two in Facundo Pellistri and Amad Diallo but it’s believed neither are first-team stars and will be given time to bed in and develop.
Sancho would’ve been the dream signing for many fans and it seemed to be a transfer that could be completed until Dortmund changed their terms.
Neither European giant would budge for the other and it meant the Red Devils didn’t get to sign their main summer target.

Dortmund’s decision to change the goalposts when everything appeared set is what seems to have caused the collapse of the much-anticipated transfer.
If true, then it means Manchester United were right to hold off on making a bid and bending to the German giant’s will but it’s difficult to imagine how anything would’ve changed by next summer.
If anything, the two clubs’ relationships probably soured over Sancho but reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano insists Solskjaer’s side lead the race.
