Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek has missed 282 days and 38 matches with an Achilles tendon rupture, according to Transfermarkt.
The Englishman has not played a single minute this season but is stepping up his recovery from the injury.
As reported in The Guardian, Loftus-Cheek suffered the injury during a charity match in the USA against New England Revolution last May.
The midfielder fell awkwardly shortly after coming onto the pitch as a substitute and was then required to undergo surgery, which has ruined his season so far.
Loftus-Cheek missed the UEFA Europa League final as well as the UEFA Nations League with England due to the injury.
As reported on Football London, he made his return to action for Chelsea’s Under-23s during a behind-closed-doors friendly and manager Frank Lampard has also revealed that he is close to making his return to full action.
These Chelsea fans can’t wait any longer and many want him to be involved against Spurs on Saturday.
