Mikel Arteta has once again praised Bukayo Saka after the teenager bagged yet another assist last night (via Arsenal.com).
It’s becoming an everyday occurrence as we time and time again, we watch Bukayo Saka burst down the left flank before producing an excellent final ball.
He did the same against last night and teed up Alexandre Lacazette for the only goal of the game against Olympiakos.
That was the Englishman’s ninth assist of the season in all competitions, making him the top provider at the club so far.
After the match, Mikel Arteta again singled Saka out for praise and talked about ‘the gift’ that makes him so special.
“I’m really pleased with the way he’s developed,” Arteta said of Saka.
“And I’m really pleased with the way he’s handling these situations because there’s a lot of highlight on him at the moment, but he’s still really humble.
“He’s still as keen to meet with my assistant, willing to improve. He’s a great kid and he makes big decisions in the final third. He’s not someone who hides.
“He’s got the vision and the ability to execute when the spaces are really tight. That’s a gift.”
It’s clear that Bukayo Saka is technically gifted but it’s his attitude that keeps getting singled out for praise from Mikel Arteta. The Gunners head coach is clearly enamoured with Saka’s eagerness to learn and develop. That much has been evident with the way he has made the left-back position his own.
