Manchester United fans were definitely happy with their side’s 3-0 defeat of Partizan Belgrade in the Europa League but there were calls for consistency nonetheless.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men have largely disappointed this season but there have been little sparks of brilliance such as tonight’s win.
United’s opener was scored by Mason Greenwood while Anthony Martial grabbed the second in fantastic fashion.
Marcus Rashford wrapped up the match for Solskjaer who quickly opted to rest and substitute off the field Scott McTominay, Fred and the aforementioned star.
The Red Devils have been bright in Europe this season having qualified with two matches left and not conceding a single goal so it’s only natural fans would hope for the same form in the league.
Thoughts on win vs Partizan
– Creative and attacking football
– Great to see Greenwood score
– Martial and Rashford on form
– Fred and McTominay improving a lot
– Solid defensively
– AWB = Beast
– Mata had a very good game
– Garner debut at OT
– Same again Sunday please— Aidan Walsh (@AidanWalshMUFC) November 7, 2019
#MUFC through to the Europa League knockout phase with two matches to spare (a boost given the 6,000-mile round trip to Kazakhstan is one of them). Solskjaer's side still have not conceded in the competition & are now scoring goals. A positive night at Old Trafford

Partizan Belgrade are a very poor side but you can only play what’s in front of you. 3 points, 3 goals, 3 different scores, clean-sheet, through to the last 32 of the Europa League. Job done. #MUFC.

Yes it’s only Partizan but it’s still progress, 4 wins in the last 5 games hopefully make that 5/6 on Sunday and it will have been a very successful period since the last international break. Small steps, keep the faith! @utdxtra #MUFC

Much better tonight, good to see us killing off a game for once. Need to replicate this in the league now

Manchester United are currently in 10th place in the Premier League and face Brighton next but no fixture is easy as proven in the past.
Despite that, Solskjaer’s side are obviously favourites and are in desperate need of the three points before breaking for the international break.
United can’t afford to continue dropping points as they head into the busy end of the season where targets are either made or break.
For all the support Solskjaer is said to have from the board, if they don’t climb up the table soon, he could be moved on nonetheless.
