Manchester United have reportedly made Borussia Dortmund star Jadon Sancho their priority for the next summer.
While the rumours have been circulating for a while now, the fairly reliable Athletic have confirmed the news through German journalist Raphael Honigstein.
United obviously need investment in their attack but many fans were anticipating such a transfer would happen this winter, such is the desperation.
Sancho would almost definitely walk right into Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s starting XI but there have been question marks over whether the club could do enough to lure him in.
It was believed one of the main reasons the young Englishman didn’t already sign for the Red Devils was because of the lack of Champions League football.
Raphael Honigstein: “Everyone's interested in [Jadon] Sancho. #mufc seem to have made him a priority but Liverpool will think carefully about him as well, I'm sure.” #mulive [the athletic]

If that’s true then Manchester United may not stand a chance of signing him at all by next summer as they’re currently on course of not even qualifying for the Europa League.
The only factors that could lure Sancho in is the guarantee of first-team minutes, the history of the club and the high wages that can be offered.
There’s also the tempting challenge of restoring one of Europe’s top clubs back to its former glory but Paul Pogba is an example of being a top talent failing to do so himself.
