Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has reportedly asked Manchester United to complete a summer deal for Chelsea and Napoli-linked Hirving Lozano.
According to reports in Italy, as cited on Sport Witness, there is an acceptance that Solskjaer will get the job full time beyond the end of the season and plans are being put in place to strengthen the United squad during the transfer window.
After some stunning form with PSV, Lozano has been heavily linked with a move away from the Eredivisie.
Napoli had been the early front runners to sign the Mexican international, but Chelsea have also been credited with an interest in the past.
The report claims that a deal could cost as much as €40 million, a fee that the Serie A side would struggle to match.
Lozano enjoyed a breakthrough campaign in Dutch football last season and followed that up with an equally impressive showing at the World Cup in Russia.
The 23-year-old has 15 goals and six assists this season as he continues to impress.
