Manchester United loanee and Inter Milan star Alexis Sanchez is reportedly not returning back to his parent club despite picking up a serious injury.
The former Arsenal man succumbed to injury whilst away on international duty after making a decent start in Italy.
Sanchez will be wondering why he’s experiencing such bad luck recently as he will now have to fight his way back into the starting XI once more once he recovers.
However, no one expects him to feature any time soon though the length of his absence hasn’t been confirmed just yet.
United could’ve done with the experienced Chilean at times this season due to their squad’s own injury-proneness and lack of attacking depth.
According to the Daily Mail, the Red Devils’ sources state there’s no release clause in Sanchez’s loan to Inter so he will remain with the club even if he’s out until the New Year should he need surgery on his dislocated ankle.
Manchester United will be happy they won’t have to pay the full amount of his salary but the injury could potentially make it difficult to sell him.
Inter may be less interested in purchasing Sanchez if he’s deemed injury prone or underperforming while other clubs will be concerned with buying an ageing star.
